At Homewatch CareGivers, we pride ourselves in providing the highest quality home care, companion care, and in home caregiver services.  Our office was named "Best of Home Care 2013" by Home Care Pulse, a national quality monitoring organization that focuses on the home care industry.  Our caregivers are backed by over 30 years of home care experience with Homewatch CareGivers, a recognized leader of in home caregiver and companion care services.  For your protection, our home care services agency is certified by the American Board of Home Care.  We belong to the Caregiver Quality Assurance program.  We are members of the Better Business Bureau and LAX Coastal and Santa Monica Chambers of Commerce.

The Homewatch CareGivers Mission statement summarizes our philosophy:

The mission of Homewatch CareGivers is to preserve dignity, protect independence, and provide peace of mind for our clients and their loved ones by providing exceptional home care.

In addition, we follow the Eden at Home principles, training our caregivers to nurture the human spirit while they are also assisting with the physical issues of aging.  We train them in techniques that help our clients to overcome the feelings of loneliness, helplessness, and boredom that often go hand in hand with aging.

Our goal is to enrich and to extend the home life of our clients.  We provide many services to assist people who are rehabilitating or convalescing wherever they reside at home, in senior apartments, in assisted living or independent living, at a hospital or skilled nursing center, or in a rehab setting.  We provide respite care for family caregivers who need a break or want a needed vacation.  Our caregivers assist senior loved ones for a brief time or an extended period.  In home care services include companion care, Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, personal care, post-surgery care, and transportation to appointments and shopping.

We meet with our clients and the people who care about them to develop a collaborative care plan that considers which services will best provide the quality of life they are seeking.  We obtain daily status reports and perform regular quality checks to ensure our in home caregivers maintain the highest standards of performance.

Our caregivers are our employees, so you don’t have to worry about taxes, liability, disability insurance, unemployment insurance, and bonding.  We only select people who have demonstrated skills and a commitment to providing the best home health care.  They are bonded and insured, and have passed a thorough background check.  We do comprehensive personality and even attitudes testing.  We require CPR/First Aid certifications and a TB test.  We require that our caregivers receive regular training through monthly quizzes and on-line through Homewatch University to keep their skills sharp.  We provide the “Perfect Caregiver Match Guarantee” to ensure you get the right caregiver for your family.  You may interview your caregiver in advance if you prefer.  We have one overriding policy, to treat every client with the same consideration we would use if it was our own mom or dad using our services.

Besides companion care, in home caregiver, and senior care, we can also help you with:

  • CareLink– Personal emergency response system - free with 20 hrs/wk of service or 3 live-in days
